The
world's largest organized youth sports program
- Inaugurated as a three-team league in 1939
- Designated for children 10 -12 years old
- Uses a 60-foot diamond with pitching distance
set at 46 feet
- Features a full range of tournament play,
including the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, which is
televised on ABC's Wide World of Sports and ESPN2
- ELL hosts an end of the season tournament
for all Major teams. The top 2 teams advance to District 59 TOC (Tournament
of Champions)
- Players in this league are eligible for
selection for All Star teams
